Dr. Gonzalez is recognized for advanced knowledge, experience, and skills in the practice of orthopedic physical therapy and the conditions effecting bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. Similar to physician specialization, there are eight specialty areas in which physical therapists can be board certified. Those with this advanced certification are considered to have a great depth of knowledge and skills in their specialty area of physical therapy.

“This certification is verification of my dedication and expertise in providing exceptional orthopedic care to patients in the San Antonio community,” states Dr. Gonzalez. “I look forward to providing amazing care for my patients and helping them get back to doing the activities they love as quickly as possible.”

Dr. Gonzalez recently retired from a 20-year career in the US Army. He proudly served as a combat medic for ten years before earning a commission and serving as an Army Physical Therapist for the rest of his active duty career. Born and reared in Brownsville, in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley of Texas, he is a proud native Texan and very happy to be back home. He is an active parishioner at St. Joseph-Honey Creek Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus and is also an avid Spurs fan.
