Courteous staff, excellent PTs, flexible scheduling. I highly recommend TexPTS. Excellent outcome with my shoulder therapy. Injuries happen; when anyone in my family needs a PT in the future, they’re headed to TexPTS!

The therapy I have received at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists is first rate in every regard. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate. I have already made significant improvement in just three weeks.

I have had a great experience with everyone at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists. Such a friendly, laid back, and encouraging environment. They are on top of their game, and you can tell by the way they greet patients, work with them, and manage their team.

The folks at TexPTS are caring, thoughtful, and very professional. They truly care about your injury and want you to get better! I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of physical therapy!

The therapists, are very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Their assistants and the office staff are equally as nice and friendly. The facility is clean and spacious. All this together makes for a very pleasant rehab experience!

Meet the Staff
Dr. Brown is the Austin – Northeast Clinic Director.
Dr. Jason Brown attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned both a degree in Kinesiology and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). He has completed his Orthopedic Residency and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS).
While studying, Dr. Brown worked with the Temple University Orthopedic and Sports Medicine team, Lung Center, and Burn Unit. He enjoys treating all conditions, but has a special interest in common injuries and complex surgical management of the shoulder and upper body. Dr. Brown also developed and runs TexPTS’ industrial medicine and wellness program at the Parmer clinic.
When living in the Northeast, he enjoyed hiking along the Appalachian Trail, camping, mountain biking, river rafting, snow skiing and snowboarding. In Austin, Dr. Brown’s hobbies include boating and water sports, culinary arts, home brewing and woodworking. He also enjoys visiting family in Colorado, where he can hike and camp at elevation. His wife, Lisa, is a Registered Nurse with Seton Hospital. Their rescued Maine coon cat, Lady, and their rescued Boxer, Bentley, inspire them to keep active volunteering with the Austin Boxer Rescue.
Erica Ricchiuti earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. Following her year as a Florida Gator, she attended South College in Knoxville, TN, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). Erica began working with Texas Physical Therapy Specialists as a student intern for the last rotation of her Doctorate curriculum. She stayed on full time after graduation as a physical therapist while furthering her education through Evidence In Motion’s Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program.
Erica was born and raised in the South Florida region. She grew up surrounded by sharks and alligators in Florida’s unique wilderness. As a result, she has developed a love for the ocean and marine animals. One of Erica’s favorite activities back home in Florida is kayaking and exploring the mangrove trees.
As a dog mom, Erica likes to explore the Austin area in her free time with her Australian Shepherd mix named, Dallas. On the weekends, she frequents coffee shops around Austin. Erica is excited to explore all that Austin has to offer, including live music and all of the dog friendly establishments.
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Dr. Rachel Clark earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology – Exercise Science and Dance right here in Austin, TX at The University of Texas in 2017. She continued her education earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Baylor University in 2019.
Her passion for helping others began at a young age and continued to grow culminating into the caring profession of physical therapy. She has worked in a variety of settings from inpatient rehab to outpatient sports rehab, but has found that her passion lies within the outpatient orthopedic and sports setting. Rachel believes her profession requires a dedication to life-long learning and advancement. Her commitment for deepened knowledge led her to pursue the Evidence in Motion (EIM) Orthopedic Residency which is allowing her to further her knowledge and experience. After completing her orthopedic residency and becoming an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Rachel hopes to take the next step and complete the Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) Residency as well.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her dog, Skye, hiking on the trails of Austin, health and fitness, taking dance classes, and catching up with friends. She is excited to continue to explore the variety of waterways in and around Austin now that she has returned to Austin to pursue her career.
