Courteous staff, excellent PTs, flexible scheduling. I highly recommend TexPTS. Excellent outcome with my shoulder therapy. Injuries happen; when anyone in my family needs a PT in the future, they’re headed to TexPTS!
The therapy I have received at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists is first rate in every regard. The entire team is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate. I have already made significant improvement in just three weeks.
I have had a great experience with everyone at Texas Physical Therapy Specialists. Such a friendly, laid back, and encouraging environment. They are on top of their game, and you can tell by the way they greet patients, work with them, and manage their team.
The folks at TexPTS are caring, thoughtful, and very professional. They truly care about your injury and want you to get better! I would recommend them highly to anyone in need of physical therapy!
The therapists, are very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. Their assistants and the office staff are equally as nice and friendly. The facility is clean and spacious. All this together makes for a very pleasant rehab experience!

James’ favorite clinical topics include all types of orthopedic injuries, pains, and post-surgical care. He is also passionate about and experienced in treating chronic pain, headaches, and dizziness and vertigo disorders. His favorite part of being a physical therapist, however, isn’t treating conditions and body regions—it’s treating and developing relationships with people of all walks of life. A former U.S. Army Infantryman, James is also passionate about caring for service-members, veterans, and their families.
He enjoys exercise, sports, outdoor activities in the beautiful hill country, and spending time with his friends, family, and especially his wife, Morgan and son, Sawyer.
Dr. Tyler Adams graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from The University of Tennessee at Martin, before attending University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas, where he graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Upon graduating, he decided that the community and friends he found was too great to leave behind and decided to begin his career in Austin. Tyler is continuing his education through Evidence In Motion to obtain a Manual Therapy Certification.
During his time at University of St. Augustine, he coached for Orangetheory Fitness in the north Austin area, and continues to coach occasionally on the weekends. When he’s not in the clinic, Tyler enjoys exploring Austin’s local parks with his dog, Zazu, and trying to eat anything a food truck will throw his way!
Stefanie received her undergraduate degrees in Liberal Arts and Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin before returning to school to obtain her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Austin Community College. After graduating, Stefanie followed her passion for exploring new places and became a travel PTA, working at clinics in California, Arizona, Texas, and New York. She moved back to Austin in 2019 and joined the TexPTS team.
A lifelong learner, Stefanie is currently participating in a Specialty Certification in Orthopedics, in addition to having already obtained certifications in McKenzie Part A and B which specialize in treating complaints of the spine. When not in the clinic, Stefanie enjoys hiking, yoga, and exploring the Austin restaurant scene.
