Meet the Staff
Dr. James Grace is the Austin – Southwest Clinic Director.
James earned both a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas State University—San Marcos. He earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He completed a residency and is board certified in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS). Additionally, James is Manual Physical Therapy Certified (MPTC) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Dr. Grace serves as clinic director for the TexPTS’ Austin – Northeast location and now serves as a mentor for orthopedic residency students through Evidence In Motion.
James’ favorite clinical topics include all types of orthopedic injuries, pains, and post-surgical care. He is also passionate about and experienced in treating chronic pain, headaches, and dizziness and vertigo disorders. His favorite part of being a physical therapist, however, isn’t treating conditions and body regions—it’s treating and developing relationships with people of all walks of life. A former U.S. Army Infantryman, James is also passionate about caring for service-members, veterans, and their families.
He enjoys exercise, sports, outdoor activities in the beautiful hill country, and spending time with his friends, family, and especially his wife, Morgan and son, Sawyer.
Dr. Tyler Adams graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology from The University of Tennessee at Martin, before attending University of St. Augustine in Austin, Texas, where he graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Upon graduating, he decided that the community and friends he found was too great to leave behind and decided to begin his career in Austin. Tyler is continuing his education through Evidence In Motion to obtain a Manual Therapy Certification.
During his time at University of St. Augustine, he coached for Orangetheory Fitness in the north Austin area, and continues to coach occasionally on the weekends. When he’s not in the clinic, Tyler enjoys exploring Austin’s local parks with his dog, Zazu, and trying to eat anything a food truck will throw his way!
Dr. Kwesi Coleman graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. While attaining his undergraduate degree he also became licensed as a massage therapist through the Bellevue School of Massage. He earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine in Austin, TX, where is currently pursuing a Manual Therapy Certification.
Kwesi enjoys working with patients of all ages to facilitate healing of various orthopedic impairments, getting folks back to their active lifestyles. His favorite part of being a therapist is connecting and laughing with patients while guiding them through what can be an uncomfortable process at times; being a bright spot in their day. Having previously had shoulder and knee injuries himself, he has a particular interest in working with these extremities. As a former Navy Corpsman, he knows the importance of physical readiness for his fellow service members and enjoys the opportunity of getting them back to full speed!
When not in the clinic, Kwesi enjoys road cycling, hiking and kayaking. He also enjoys the Austin food scene and looks forward to spending time with friends checking out local coffee shops and breweries. His favorite breakfast food is pancakes and he is always on the lookout for the best chicken and waffles in Texas. He likes to throw discs, and carries two in his car at all times, one for daytime throws and one for nighttime fun.
Dr. Timothy Stark earned both a Bachelor of Behavioral Science in Exercise Science and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. Following graduation, Timothy wanted to pursue his passion for orthopedic physical therapy as well as lifelong learning and joined the TexPTS team. Timothy is currently working to earn his Manual Therapy Certification.
Timothy enjoys working with a variety of orthopedic injuries, pains, and post surgical care. He enjoys using his skills to better the lives of people and allow them to return to the things they love to do. Growing up in a small west Texas town, he played multiple different sports and can relate to a variety of athletes and what they experience in their sport. His favorite aspect of being a physical therapist is creating meaningful relationships with patients and giving them a positive outlook on physical activity.
When Timothy is not in the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Nikki, playing a round of golf, or going kayaking in the many creeks that surround Austin.
