Meet the Staff
Vincenza was born and raised in Arizona, where she graduated from Pima Medical Institute’s Physical Therapy Assistant program. After graduating, she moved to Texas and completed Evidence In Motion’s PTA Specialty Certification in Orthopedics to further her knowledge and improve the care she provides her patients.
Vincenza was a college synchronized swimmer and coached synchronized swimming during her PTA program. When she’s not in the clinic, Vincenza enjoys spending time with her two cats, cooking, hiking, running, and doing anything that involves being underwater.
Originally from Hermosa Beach, California, Leah is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces who served in the United States Navy as an Aircrew Rescue Swimmer. Following the military, Leah graduated from Kaskaskia College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program in Centralia, IL.
Currently, she is pursuing her PTA Specialty Certification in Orthopedics to further advance her knowledge and practice in orthopedic-related conditions, allowing her to provide her patients with better, evidence-based results.
After working in a hospital-based outpatient clinic for three years, Leah, her husband, Justin, and young daughter, Lyla, returned to Justin’s hometown of San Antonio. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching Netflix, and exploring the San Antonio area.
Eric Leos earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Prior to that, Eric obtained his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University of San Antonio.
Eric is currently working toward his Orthopedic Certified Specialist through Evidence In Motion (EIM) and is most interested in treating hips and knees.
In his free time, Eric enjoys going to the beach, jiu-jitsu/kickboxing, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Kyndal Cantu earned her bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas and graduated at the top of her class with high honors. Kyndal then returned to her hometown of Floresville, Texas, and joined the Texas PTS team at City Base.
Dr. Cantu is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and Manual Therapy Certified (MTC) through Evidence in Motion. Kyndal’s professional interests include rehabilitating patients ranging from student athletes to the geriatric population to those with neuromuscular disorders. She enjoys working closely with patients to improve their function and quality of life.
When she is not at work, Kyndal enjoys playing with her dog and spending time with family. Kyndal is also a huge Harry Potter fan and enjoys joke telling and magic tricks.
Dr. Maldonado is the San Antonio – City Base Clinic Director.
Christopher Maldonado received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio after completing his undergraduate degree from University of Texas San Antonio, in which he received his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. To continue to further his education, Christopher is planning to work towards his orthopedic clinical specialists certification. He consistently continues to commit his off time keeping up with evidence-based treatments to better serve his patients.
Dr. Maldonado is a veteran of our armed services, in which he served in the United States Navy. During his enlistment he completed two Western Pacific deployments, in which he received several military awards, including the Navy Achievement medal.
In his spare time, Dr. Maldonado enjoys music and maintaining an active lifestyle, which includes cycling, jogging and just working outside. When not exercising, you can find him working on his second passion, cooking tasty Texas BBQ.
