Meet the Staff
Lynnette Jasso was born in Rio Grande City, Texas, and raised in Roma, Texas. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation with a concentration in Addictions from The University of Texas Pan-American. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, Texas.
Lynnette is currently enrolled in the Sports Certification program through Evidence In Motion (EIM) and is excited to continue her education in the field of physical therapy.
When she’s not working in the clinic, Lynnette enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her three Pomeranians. Lynnette also enjoys keeping up with her health by attending the gym as well as binge watching Netflix series.
Sebastian Lopez earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Texas at El Paso. Prior to that, Sebastian obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Nevada-Reno.
Sebastian is currently working to get his sports specialization and is most interested in treating a variety of conditions but has always had a niche for treating runners.
In his free time, Sebastian enjoys training for triathlons and plans to compete while in Texas. He is originally from Reno and loves getting up to the mountains when he’s back home and spending time with his family.
Dr. Roggia is the Clinic Director of TexPTS-SMASA.
Adam earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Marymount University. Prior to earning his DPT, he obtained his Master’s degree in Sports Conditioning and Performance from Southern Utah University and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University.
Adam is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He takes special interest in private practice management and direction, as well as sports and orthopedic physical therapy.
When Adam is not working inside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, their dog, Bubba, and contributing time and effort to both church and community service. He is a multiple time Boston Marathon qualifier and racer.
Kayana Trottier earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of North Dakota. Prior to that, Kayana obtained her Associate of Science and Minor of Psychology from Turtle Mountain Community College, University of North Dakota.
Kayana specializes in CPR and EMR services and is most interested in treating plantar fasciitis.
In her free time, Kayana enjoys lifting and running, spending time with family, and watching any type of storm (lightning is her favorite).
Matt Hernandez is the Clinic Director of the San Antonio – SMASA Spurs Lane location.
Matt began his educational career by obtaining his undergraduate degree at Texas Tech University where he majored in Exercise & Sports Science, graduating with high honors. After, he went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He then went on to further specialize in the field of sports physical therapy becoming a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Growing up playing multiple sports year-round, Matt understands how essential proper rehab and recovery is to be able to compete at the highest level. He has a high interest in treating various orthopedic and sports relation conditions and takes pride in providing evidence-based specific treatments as well as utilizing his strength & conditioning knowledge to progress beyond typical care.
When he’s not working in the clinic, Matt enjoys spending his time with his family and dog, keeping active through strength training or playing sports, exploring the area for the best eats, and relaxing by watching whatever sports program is on.
Joseph Sandoval earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Prior to that, Joseph obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Mary’s University.
Joseph is a sports physical therapy resident and is most interested in treating ACL repairs.
In his free time, Joseph enjoys weightlifting, food adventures, and cooking new recipes.
Erica Cioti earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Brenau University. Prior to that, Erica obtained her Master of Science in Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation from University of the Incarnate Word.
Erica is currently a Sports Physical Therapy resident and is most interested in strength and conditioning.
In her free time, Erica enjoys hiking, cooking, and weightlifting.
Marie Kidd earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Prior to that, Marie obtained her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Colorado State University – Pueblo.
Marie is currently enrolled in the Sports Certification program though Evidence In Motion (EIM) and is most interested in continuing her work with athletes and horses alike.
In her free time, Marie enjoys riding her horses, traveling, and baking.
Taja Maree Jones received her associate degree in 2013 as a Physical Therapist Assistant from St. Philip’s College in San Antonio, Texas.
As a former athlete, Taja’s love of sports and desire to help others inspired her to pursue PT. She is certified in senior strength training and blood flow restriction therapy.
When she is not in the clinic, you can catch Taja running on the trails or attending a Zumba class. She also enjoys attending sporting events (Go Spurs!), listening to music, and spending quality time with her parents and sister.
Iago Pinto earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Woman’s University – Houston. Prior to that, Iago obtained his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
Iago completed his orthopedic residency at Memorial Hermann Rockets Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. He is most interested in treating post-op shoulder and knee conditions.
In his free time, Iago enjoys trying new restaurants, hanging out with his wife and family, and working out.
